Kinder- und Jugendbüro Steglitz-Zehlendorf
The „Kinder- und Jugendbüro Steglitz-Zehlendorf“ (some kind of children and youth participation office) is a contact point, a place of information and a place for networking concerning child and youth participation in the Berlin district Steglitz-Zehlendorf. Important is it that the kids become active themselves and that the office workers are not working FOR children and youngsters but organizing and changing something with them.
Children can contact the office in following issues:
- if they have an idea but don’t know how to realize it
- groups in case they need support from politicians and administration
- if yomething is disturbing in the neighbourhood
- if there are no possibilities for playing in the neighbourhood
my tasks:
- coordinating the project „jungbewegt – Dein Einsatz zählt“ (Bertelsmann Stiftung) in the district as well as the cooperation with the partners on Berlin level and German wide, supporting the children and the project groups
- participating in networks
- encouraging the project group „Jugendhaushalt Steglitz-Zehlendorf“ (participatory youth budgeting in Steglitz-Zehlendorf)
