  • „Gegen die Leinwand – 40m² Deutschland“ – A Turkish guy living and working marries a Turkish woman which is moving to his small flat (40m²) in Hamburg. His wife is not leaving that flat at all, since he is locking her in there for protectiong her from the bad world around. His wife is getting closer and closer to getting crazy. -> 13.10.2011, 8PM, Eiszeit-Kino
  • „Gegen die Leinwand – Abschied vom falschen Paradies“ – A Turkish woman in Germany is imprisoned because of killing her husband. In the prison she finds herself and gets to know German reality. Due to good behaviour she can leave earlier. But now she’s at a high risk being sent back to Turkey. This includes being put back to necessities which she just overcame. -> 14.10.2011, 8PM, Ballhaus Naunynstraße
  • „Gegen die Leinwand – Lebewohl Fremde“ – The asylum seeker Deniz (a Turk) is living togther with a pakistani and an African in an old constructing car. He gets to know the GErman fotographer Karin, which is hiding him in a farmers house when he is going to be sent back to Turkey. After some while they are forced to show up. Back in Turkey he’s sent back to the prison. Shortly after, Karin learns that he died. -> 15.10.2011, 8PM, Eiszeit-Kino

What to do in…

Today I met a friend of mine, and I decided to open a new category on my blog: „What to do?“ is for events taking place in the next days and weeks in the city I am in at the very moment. So since I’m living in Berlin still, it’s gonna be about Berlin.

Why the idea came up? Because we realized that for getting to know a city, information is needed. It’s hard finding informations alone, but, as Eleni and I, exchange is important. So let’s start the new series: „What to do in …“
