My studies
I grew up in Germany, made my Abitur, studying Applied Childhood Studies in Germany, went one year for abroad experiences at a university in Sweden. Then I lived in Graz, Austria for working there five months and worked as AuPair in Stockholm.
I studied the „European Master of Childhood Studies and Children’s Rights“ in Berlin and finished it with my master thesis „Youngsters becoming engaged online?!“. My special fields of interests are: participation of children & youth, all aspects on integration and language of children/youth with migrational aspects as well as children and media. In spring 2015 I started another studies: Social Work, distance learning in Potsdam.
My professional work
Since 2013, I’m working for the Municipality Wiesbaden, coordinating holiday programm for kids. Further information (in German) here.
I additionally work as an educator for kindergarten teachers concerning participation in kindergarten and moderator for conception days in particular kindergarten institutions.
During my studies, I was working as a project coordinator in a Kinder- und Jugendbüro (~participation agency for children & youth) on two projects on civic engagement of youth as well as on a project enabeling youth to realize their project ideas.
Before I was working in various sectors of social work such as a SOS-Children’s Village, various NGOs (f.e. terre des hommes), integrative kindergartens (with disabled children & children with migrational background), in a child agency,…
